Let's Level Up Portland!
Portland is neither ground zero for anarchist chaos nor a blissful, thriving city. Homelessness, empty buildings and other problems are plain to see. But it is still a beautiful place to live, a city that loves craft, and a place that welcomes humans of any type.
Over the years, Portland has done some pretty cool things, like the Freeway Revolt, turning a dangerous rail yard into the Pearl District, and replacing the Harbor Drive Freeway with parks. You likely know many more examples (so please join us and start the leveling-up process!)
In the near future, a fully renovated PDX airport will open, the Broadway Corridor will turn into something far better than the old post office, and other things will happen.
Meanwhile, Portland's (in)famous city governance system is changing.
How might we band together to do something positive that takes our city up a level?
